Best Household Products

This year I bought my first home, and have been keeping a list of all my favorite household products. With all the holiday shopping I thought it was a great time to share all my favorites as you may be looking for items to add to your wish list, or as you’re looking to get gifts for those on your holiday shopping list! Everything shared are amazon products that have fast shipping, to make holiday shopping a breeze! As an amazon associate I earn on eligible purchases.

Kitchen favorites

Below are some of my favorite kitchen items, that I use daily and have saved me time and valuable space!

Ninja foodi 8-in-1 flip-up airfryer

This air fryer has been an all-time favorite appliance. It has multiple settings to air-fry, toast, bake, dehydrate, and much more, so if can replace a toaster oven really is 8-in-1. It comes with baking trays, air fryer basket and wire racks. It preheats so fast compared to preheating an entire oven, so it shaves time off cooking time! But one of the best features is that is flips up vertically to save space on your counter top when you’re not using it!

ninja blender & kitchen system

This blender system is a favorite because of the powerful base that can blend through frozen ingredients, and multiple blade options gives you versatility for whatever you need to blend. I love that this replaces a food processor because the base comes with a large 64-oz blender, a single serving smoothie cup, and a food processor attachment. This saves space and money by not having to have multiple appliances. The smoothie cup is in daily use at my house, and the large blender attachment is great for blending soups or larger batches of things.

8-tier pantry door storage

While my new kitchen is bigger than any apartment I’ve stayed in, I was still looking for some extra storage, and this pantry door storage rack has been perfect! It comes in white and black, and the baskets can be easily adjusted to whatever spacing works for you. What I especially appreciate with this storage rack is that it comes with adhesive stickers so when you open and close the door, the rack does not swing and hit against the door.

Frostbuddy wine chiller

A few years ago I discovered the FrostBuddy universal can coolers, that fit regular cans, skinny cans, bottles and more. Those had become a staple in our family! Then we discovered they had a wine chiller, and these have been great in the hot summer days, and I have also used them for hosting brunches to keep things cooled without having to get a bucket of ice (which can get messy). They come in multiple colors, and make a great gift!

Roll Up dish drying rack

I actually received this as a gift last Christmas, and it quickly became a favorite! I love that it saves counter space, and can easily be rolled up and stored. Not only can it be used to dry dishes, it’s also great to rinse and wash produce without getting a colander out. Be sure to measure your sink to order the correct size.

Food storage containers

These airtight food storage containers were another gift, and what I love about these is they have magnetic accessories that stick to the lids of the containers. For the flour container there’s a level to scrape your measuring cup, for powdered sugar there’s a duster accessory to dust powdered sugar, and for brown sugar there’s a terra cotta stone to keep the sugar from drying out and tamp down in the measuring cup. They also come with labels.

Work from home favorites

While I love working from home, it does result in more sedentary days. With setting up my new home office, I found ways to help with standing and movement to counteract being in one place most days. Here are my favorite work from home items!

criss cross desk chair

When I started working from home I did not have a good desk chair, and I quickly was in the market for one. I really enjoy this one because of its comfort, adjustable height, and that you can sit criss cross or in other positions since it is armless. I believe there is a version with wheels, but my office is carpeted, and and I opted for the chair without wheels.

laptop tray table

I already have a great desk that I love, but was looking for a way to comfortably have the ability to stand without getting another big desk in my home office. I ended up getting this laptop try table that is adjustable in height, and I can easily put this on top of my desk and have a standing desk. I can also use it at my kitchen table or couch when I’m wanting to move around and work in other parts of my house. Even if you don’t work from home, this is an awesome tray table anyone can enjoy, even if you use if for reading and coffee in bed!

folding under desk treadmill

This treadmill has been great for getting in movement and steps in while working from home. I love that the arms fold down so it easily fits under my desk and I can use it while standing at my desk. It comes with a remote to adjust the speed, and for the price it has been well worth it. I don’t believe it goes too fast, so if you plan to do a lot of running, this may not be the option for you. But for the primary purpose being walking it has been great for working from home!

stationary bike

While I don’t necessarily use this while working, it has been a great addition to find movement at home, especially in the winter. I got this during covid in the height of the peloton craze. I knew I didn’t want to spend the money on a peloton bike, but was still interested in trying cycling, so I decided to get a stationary bike with an iPad holder, where I could use the peloton app without the price of a peloton bike. For me, this has been great, and I know I go through phases with different types of exercising so I don’t have any guilt if I go several weeks without using it because I didn’t pay for a peloton bike! I also have a cadence sensor so if that’s something you want for the peloton workouts you can get one like this.

Household products

Here are some general household products I’ve either loved for years, or discovered this year after buying my first home.

wireless remote control outlets

I discovered these last year when I hung Christmas lights inside and didn’t want to move furniture to plug and unplug the lights everyday. It comes with 5 outlets that you can plug lights, lamps, or anything into, and then use the remote to turn them on and off. It worked great for my Christmas tree lights and since moving, I’ve also used them for lamps around my house. I love them and highly recommend!

adjustable wreath hanger

Previously I used a command hook for my wreaths, but for some reason they weren’t sticking to my front door, so I found this adjustable wreath hanger. It’s been perfect because I do switch out wreaths which each season and some are larger than others, so having the ability to adjust the hanger height to the wreath has been so nice! It also comes in a few different colors, my front door is black so this one blends in perfectly!

Curtain clip rings

I love decorating and home decor, and one thing that really makes a room feel cozy and pulled together is curtains. One easy and inexpensive way to elevate curtains are these curtain clip rings. Grab these in a color that matches your curtain rod and they not only make it easy to pull curtains open and closed, but they really elevate the look compared to hanging the curtains directly on the curtain rod.

HEPA air purifiers

This summer with the wildfires I was even more aware of the air quality issues, and with having asthma, I wanted to invest in air purifiers for my home. After some research I landed on the Coway air purifiers, and bought two. I keep one in my office/bedroom and the other in my living room. They’re supposed to be in the rooms you spend the most time in. I’ll definitely be purchasing additional ones for other areas of my house in the future. There are a few different models you can choose from, but I like the different setting these have, including one that auto-detects and kicks on as needed. I’ve noticed even using hairspray will kick these on to purify the air.

solar powered patio umbrella

An exciting purchase after buying my home was setting up the outdoor space on my patio! I was so excited for this umbrella because I was able to work outside once I had this umbrella to shade the table so I could see my laptop screen on the sunny days. It also has the LED lights for the evenings that are solar powered. This one is 10 feet and comes in several colors. It’s held up great and was a fair price!

lazy susan turntable

This lazy Susan turntable can be used in a variety of ways. I bought it for my bar, but I think it would be super cute to use in a bathroom for skincare or perfumes. It turns with ease and aesthetically looks great to keep items on display.

wireless bluetooth speakers

This speaker is waterproof and dustproof and boasts a 16 hour battery with every charge. I like it because it is small and can be concealed on a bookshelf and still fill the room with music. It’s size also makes it super portable and can be brought on vacations, boat rides, and more!

handheld garment steamer

This is a favorite for years. Truth is I do not iron anything, and this steamer is a god-send! I have even brought this on vacations. It heats up in a matter of seconds to provide 15 minutes of steaming. It easily takes out wrinkles from various fabrics, and I’ve used to steam out wrinkles in my curtains too. I’ve recommended this to so many over the years, it had to make the list!

3m claw hangers

While I have loved command strips and hooks to hang so many things over the years of renting, there are some things that are too heavy for command strips. I bought some beautiful mirrors and art that needed to be hung, and lets be honest, the majority of time the studs are where you need them to hang something centered on a wall or where you want to hang something. These Claw hangers by 3M were so easy to use, and hold heavy art and mirrors with no tools or special hardware to hang. I highly recommend these!

cleaning products

So a little less exciting, but these household cleaning products have made a world of difference!

cordless vacuum cleaner

With having hardwood floors in my new house, I was looking for a vacuum to use on my main floor so I didn’t have to lug my big vacuum up and down the stairs. This one is light weight and cordless which has been a game-changer! It also has several attachments and really impressive suction for its size. I use this almost every day and it has been great!

drill brush set

For anyone that has moved or bought a new house, you know how much cleaning you do before moving in. With my new house I have tiled showers and bathroom floor tiles, and these brushes that attach to a drill are the BEST thing for cleaning tiles. There’s multiple sizes and saves so much arm and hand strength and cramping by using these! instead of scrubbing on our own with a handheld brush.

hair catcher shower drain covers

Dealing with shedding hair and clogged drains is the literal worst. I have flat shower drains in my new house, and was looking for a solution. In the past I had used a hair catcher like this, and it was perfect! With the flat drain, that wouldn’t work anymore, so I found these. They have worked really well and recommend them to minimize clogging your drains!

pet products

If you have pets, these products have been a game-changer and I highly recommend them!!

bissel carpet cleaner

This little portable carpet cleaner is perfect for spot cleaning. I have two cats, and we have the occasional hair ball which can happen on carpet or rugs, and this carpet cleaner has been amazing for cleaning those areas. It can obviously also be used for other spills. I get the pet pro cleaning solution to use with this.

petlibro cat water fountain

I was finding my cats weren’t drinking as much water as they probably should, and if I needed to travel for a few days for work I’d come home to dry food floating in their water bowls, and it just not staying fresh for them. I heard cats like running water, and this cycles and filters the water to keep it fresh. This has a chargeable base so it doesn’t have to be plugged in, and is motion censored to turn on the water fountain when the cats are near it. They love it and it gives me piece of mind if I’m away from home!

petlibro automatic pet feeder

Similar to the water fountain, this pet feeder has been so nice to have if I am away from home. This version has a camera that you can see in their app, but they have options without the camera if it’s not something you need. They also have a one bowl or two bowl option, and it comes in white or black. The great thing about this pet feeder is you can set a feeding schedule, and I’ve found this so helpful, even when I’m home. I found with leaving out bowls of food my cats would sometimes eat too much and throw up, and this allows me to give them smaller portions a few times a day to minimize over eating. This can be used for dogs or cats.

feliway diffuser

This was recommended to me by my vet, as my cats can have anxiety or pick fights with each other. This brand is vet recommended and mimics pheromones to calm and soothe. I have the plug in diffuser in a few rooms on my home and has helped them with the transition of moving and tensions with each other. On Amazon you can also use the ‘subscribe & save’ feature to have it send every month or at whatever interval you set.

chom chom pet hair remover

This has been a household staple for the last few years, and it is so great and getting pet hair off the couch or bedding. It’s a handheld hair remover than you simply move back and forth and it picks up pet hair. This would make a great gift for any pet lovers in your life!
